Director of the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA)

Dawit S. Lemma, Director of the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) joined UMD in 2007 as an Assistant Director of Client Services in OSFA.  Dawit’s current responsibilities at UMD include the management of Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) processing, packaging, verification, Direct Loan, Pell Grant, reporting, compliance, state financial aid, scholarships, document imaging and tracking, Return to Title IV, Satisfactory Academic Progress tracking, Training, Testing and implementing processing changes.    

Dawit started working in Financial Aid in 2001 and used PowerFAIDS, PeopleSoft and SAM/ProSAM.
