Thank you! Message from Jack J. Blanchard, Associate Provost for Enterprise Resource Planning:
On behalf of the Elevate program, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the UMD campus community for your time and effort thus far in our Workday Student implementation. Together, we’ve taken significant steps toward implementing Workday Student—a journey that began in earnest this past March and that will continue through 2028 when Workday becomes our official Student system of record.
More than 175 subject matter experts from 33 units, including all of our schools and colleges, have already devoted their time and expertise to shaping our student systems of the future. The shared insights and the thoughtful attention given have directly informed our process design, positioning us to deliver a final product that genuinely meets the needs of our students, faculty, and staff.
As Provost Rice noted during our Fall Town Hall, this kind of transformation is never simple, but it is essential to delivering the high-quality, student-centered experience that defines our university. Your participation, thoughtful feedback, and commitment to continuous improvement are what make this work possible.
I am grateful for your steadfast support, your patience, and your engagement as we move together through this multi-year journey. Thank you for all you have done so far, and for all you will continue to do, as we prepare UMD for the future with Workday Student. Enjoy a much-deserved winter break, and I look forward to continuing our work together in 2026!
With Gratitude,
Jack J. Blanchard
