Recap: Fall 2025
The close of Fall 2025 marked a significant step forward in the Elevate Student transformation. Campus partners have worked together to design and configure key components of Workday Student, building a strong foundation for how we will support students, faculty, and staff.
The highlights below reflect progress to date, with some areas fully configured and others continuing to be designed and refined in upcoming phases.
- Academic Progress Report (APR): Replacing the uAchieve degree audit system with a shared, real-time view of degree progress for students and advisors
- Transfer Credit Articulation: 190,000 transfer credit rules and 350,000 external courses built to streamline transfer credit application workflows
- Registration Enhancements: Flexible scheduling tools, Saved Schedules, and standardized eligibility rules
- Financial Foundations: 2,800+ financial aid awards configured, automated awarding, and near real-time accounting integration
- Improved Hold Management: Clear, consistent hold names with resolution guidance
Our progress and continued momentum has been made possible through deep partnership across schools, colleges, and central units. Subject Matter Experts have brought critical policy knowledge, operational insight, and student-centered perspectives into every conversation. That collaboration continues to ensure Workday Student reflects the realities of our campus.
As we move toward our 2027–2028 go-live milestones, the work continues—and so does the progress toward a more transparent, consistent, and student-centered experience at UMD.
