Lillian Nash joins the University of Maryland from Montclair State University where she has held critical financial management positions, such as Director of General Accounting, Assistant Controller and, most recently, Controller. In this role, she has functional responsibility for accounting, financial reporting, financial services, post award administration of externally sponsored programs, compliance, and internal controls over the university's use of financial assets and resources. She also led Montclair State University’s implementation of Workday Finance, which will be invaluable experience as we work to do the same through the Elevate Program at Maryland.
Prior to her time at Montclair State University, Lillian worked in financial management in various leadership roles for private sector companies, including Prudential Insurance Company of America, New York Life Insurance Company and Lucent Technologies. Before becoming a Certified Public Accountant, Lillian earned her B.S. in accounting and MBA in finance from Rutgers University.
