Training for Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) are be available through ELMS-Canvas.

As an HR Analyst, you have a training curriculum that should be following in a particular order. 


What order should I take courses in?

Often, a user with the HR Analyst role also has additional security roles. The following curriculum is the order we advise you take courses if you have the roles of HR Analyst, Recruiter, I-9 Partner, and Academic Analyst.

  2. Finding and Viewing Reports in Workday

  3. HCM Core Concepts

  4. Manage Positions

  5. Initiate Job Requisitions (if involved in requisitions)

  6. Recruit to Hire (if involved in recruiting)

  7. Hire & Onboarding

  8. Form I-9 in Workday (if involved in I-9s)

  9. Academic Appointments (if involved in appointments)

  10. Change Job

  11. Add & End Job

  12. Payroll Accounting for Departments (Note: This course is a Finance course)

  13. Compensation

  14. Termination
