As we announced previously, we decided to shift the go-live date of the new Workday enterprise system. After consulting with key stakeholders, we are delighted to announce that Workday’s Human Capital Management and Finance modules will Go Live on November 15, 2023. This new date will provide ample time for staff and faculty to prepare for this transition and ensure a successful implementation of Workday.
This historic system implementation will transform the way we do business at the University of Maryland and our partner entities at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, and the University System of Maryland Office.

Training Launches July 17!
Training will become available on July 17, 2023. Workday Training will include On-Demand Computer-Based training courses, which will be available through ELMS-Canvas. You will be provided with recommended and optional courses to complete based on your job needs. The Elevate Program will also be providing other Training resources, including Job Aids and User Labs.
We have noted previously that Elevate and its implementation of Workday is the largest software deployment program in the history of the University of Maryland. As executive sponsors of this program, we greatly appreciate the exceptional level of collaboration from the many staff and faculty contributing to the success of this project.
