Announcement Regarding Workday Training

As we announced last month, the Workday Go Live will now occur in November 2024.  Given the new timeline, for some users it will have been a year or more since they completed some training courses.  This delay between training and using Workday in November creates challenges in retaining the information learned, especially for more specialized course content.  As a result, prior Workday course completions will be handled as follows:

  • Users who have previously completed the “Introduction to Workday” course will not have to retake this training. It will remain in the user's Open Learning Dashboard and can be taken as a refresher at any time.
  • While acknowledging the time and effort that you have devoted to prior training, in order to ensure readiness for Workday we ask that users retake all other courses because of their specialized content.  Prior completion of these other courses will be removed from the user’s Open Learning Dashboard.

Based on user feedback, the Elevate team has spent the last six months enhancing Workday courses (e.g., the addition of more natural-sounding audio narration to all 24 courses) and improving support material (e.g., crosswalks and guides).

The enrollment links and course content are unavailable at this time while the Elevate team makes the updates. During this process, users can expect to receive auto-notifications from Canvas. We will inform the campuses when the new and improved courses are available by the first week of April.

We thank you for your continued support and contributions to this historic transformation of our systems.

Sincerely,

Jennifer King Rice, Senior Vice President and Provost
