The Elevate Program team held a series of sessions to demonstrate different parts of the Workday system during Functional Overview sessions. Our team has posted the webinar recording of each session and other materials as a resource.

Welcome to Workday: Introduction to Workday and Navigation

This initial Functional Overview allows you to get a feel for our new, streamlined system and its capabilities. The Elevate team shared key benefits of Workday and introduce you to the Workday landing page and applications. We also demonstrated how to navigate the system, find information using the search bar, access your inbox, and locate your Workday profile.

DIY (Do It Yourself) In Workday: Employee Self Service

This session introduced the self-service features of Workday. You will learn more about the Worker Profile and get a preview of how to change your emergency contact, your language, your pronouns and more. We will also give an overview of Workday Mobile.

Managing Your Job Applications in Workday

This session introduced the benefits of and key information about the Recruit-to-Hire process in Workday. In addition to seeing a sneak peek of the future internal and external campus job sites, you will also view how to search and apply for internal jobs, and get a behind-the-scenes look at a few of the enhanced recruitment features.

The Future of Onboarding in Workday

This session covered the benefits and key information of the new hire onboarding process in Workday. The Elevate Program will provide a sneak peek at the onboarding setup process from a manager's perspective, as well as the onboarding experience from the perspective of a new employee.

The Wonders of Worktags in Workday

The Wonders of Worktags session introduced the concept of worktags in Workday, shared the benefits of worktags, shared some examples of financial worktags, and demonstrated how to easily search for the right worktag.

Empowering Employees Through Workday Learning

This Functional Overview introduced Workday Learning, your future home for employee development and training course content. It included a sneak preview of how you will explore and enroll in training, as well as view your required learning and learning history. In addition, viewers received a behind-the-scenes look at how managers can enroll their teams in content and view learning progress.

Purchasing in Workday

This Functional Overview introduced the terminology, business processes, and reporting features of the Purchasing functionality in Workday. The Elevate Program gave a sneak peek at the Requisition to Receipt process and how to create a Purchase Requisition, as well as a sneak peek at how Shell Shop will integrate with Workday.

Workday's Got Talent (And Performance)

This Functional Overview covered Workday Talent, which will have a lot of new functionality for employees to track their education, career interests, certifications, training, and more. It also covered Performance in Workday, which is where managers and employees will complete their PRD (Performance Review and Development) completely online - no more paper!

Your Role in Workday: Role-Based Security 101

This 45-minute session will provide an overview of role-based security and how it determines who can take what actions in Workday.  We will define role-based security, compare and contrast role based permissions from what we currently have and answer your questions about security role assignments in Workday.

The Power of Reporting in Workday

This 45-minute session provided a sneak peek into reporting in Workday, including a high-level overview, key changes, and benefits. Through a live demonstration, you will see how to access and interact with reports.

Time & Absence Management in Workday

This session for both exempt and non-exempt workers was an introduction to 'Absence Management' in Workday. It demonstrated the changes and gave a sneak peek into what Time Off and Time-related activities can be completed. To cap it off, there was a presentation, multiple demonstrations, and dedicated portion of time to address questions and concerns.
