Forums & Other Virtual Sessions
In addition to taking your on-demand courses and exploring the Learning Hubs, there are other opportunities to learn more about Workday.
These include Grants Forums, Workday Financial Reporting Forums, and the Time Entry in Workday Forum for Timekeepers.
Grants Forums
We held live Webinars for the Grants Forums on September 17, 2024 and September 24, 2024. These sessions included key Grants information for Grants Managers and Principal Investigators, an overview of the Dashboard for Principal Investigators and Grant Managers, as well as a question and answer session.

Workday Financial Reporting Forum
These one-hour Zoom sessions hosted by UMD’s Finance Division will help users understand Workday data, leverage Workday analytics, and navigate Workday financial reporting data.
To prepare for this session, take the Finding and Viewing Reports in Workday self-paced computer-based training course and check out the Worktags and Reports Learning Hub. You should also familiarize yourself with the Reporting Crosswalk.

Time Entry in Workday Forum for Timekeepers
In this one-hour webinar timekeepers will gain a deeper understanding of time entry in Workday, correcting employee’s time, working with meal breaks and premium time codes, and approving time.

Yes! Sessions will be recorded and shared with audiences and shared on this page.
Forum Invitations were emailed to users who hold the Principal Investigator or Grant Manager security roles in Workday. Anyone who is currently listed as a PI in Kuali Research (KR) holds the Principal Investigator security role in Workday. Anyone who is currently listed as a fiscal officer of a grant in KFS holds the Grant Manager security role in Workday. If you are currently not identified as a fiscal officer in KFS, but will need the Grant (or USource, Project, or Gift) Manager security role in Workday, please update this information in KFS, as driver worktag manager roles will be converted directly from KFS at Go Live.
